Marilyn Cole is a full-stack engineer that works with more acronyms than most can name, including everything from JavaScript and C to Python and Ruby, with further familiarity in Git, Jenkins, Perl, PostgreSQL, Spring, MVN, SVN, MySQL, XML, XSLT, CSS, x86 assembly, and many other languages you didn’t learn while watching Game of Thrones instead.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Marilyn went on to earn an M.S. in Computer Science at New York University.
Marilyn currently leads the coding pack as Director of Engineering at Seller Labs, an Amazon optimization service. She started with the company as Software Engineer before becoming Engineering Manager then rising to her current leadership role.
Before Seller Labs, Marilyn worked in engineering at Digital Insight, Intuit, and Google. Marilyn’s interests include well-designed APIs, functional Javascript, machine learning, and how people become motivated to learn and create. She also loves Tybee Island, her twin toddlers, really good cocktails, and Janet from The Good Place, in no particular order.
