Fenwick Broyard

Fenwick Broyard is Executive Director of Community Connection of Northeast Georgia,  an advocate for non-profit organizations in the region. Fenwick has a Master’s of Social Work from UGA and a Master’s in Public Health from Tulane, and he came to Community Connection after two years developing and directing the Community Agriculture Program of the Athens Land Trust.

During his time at the Athens Land Trust, Fenwick led the Athens Community Garden Network, and spearheaded the establishment of the West Broad Market Garden and Farmers Market as well as the Young Urban Farmer Development Project. After learning that Community Connection was the Athens-based nonprofit which led the local response to Hurricane Katrina, he was especially inspired to join a team in strong support of his native New Orleans.

Fenwick has a wealth of domestic and international community organizing and development experience, and hopes to be a force for positive change in the Athens community and beyond.
